Who doesn't like summer? The warm weather, cool pools, baseball games, and lazy days. But my personal favorite thing about summer is summer vacation. The opportunity to take some time off of work or school and travel somewhere incredible. We each have our own dream destinations in mind. Some might be content with going to a local amusement park or having a fun day at the beach. That just doesn't cut it for me. I need to spread my wings and see the world. Each year I look for my new "Happy Place" the place where I can let go of all the stresses and challenges of life, and enjoy the best of what life and Mother Nature Has to offer. Before I pack my bags I need to decide exactly where my new "Happy Place" is going to be. My bucket hat is dying for an adventure.
There are some states I have never seen. Ballparks still unexplored. No matter where I eventually end up going there are two things I will always take with me. One is my camera to take pictures of my adventure and the other is my trusty hat. The way that some women are with shoes, I am the same with hats. If the entire year was about 75 days long I would have a hat for every day of the year. I have found hats of all shapes and sizes from all makers, stores, and specialty boutiques from around the world. No summer vacation of mine is complete without a bucket hat, visor, and baseball cap for all of my summertime excursions. Many people wear hats to stay protected from the sun, but I just wear them for style and fun. The incredible UV protection they provide is simply an added bonus.

1) San Diego
Pros: Beautiful weather, plenty of delicious breweries, Sea World, Wild Animal Park,Padres Stadium, Gaslamp, affordable, great outdoor locations to explore.
Cons: Being from California it is still a little too close to home for me, not the best for a single traveler.
Perfect Hat: Ball cap, Sun visor, Bucket Hats
2) Brazil
Pros: Beautiful landscape, lively culture, great nightlife, beautiful beaches
Cons: Language barrier, $$$, passport
Perfect Hat: Sinamay hat, mesh hat, fishing hat, visor
3) Caribbean Cruise
Pros: All exclusive packages, guided tours, constant view of the ocean, relaxing atmosphere
Cons: At the end of the day you are still on a boat, restricted time and freedom, sea sickness
Perfect Hat: Floppy sun hat, bucket hat
4) Australia
Pros: Safari adventure, see awesome animals in their own habitat, fun nightlife and culture, once of the most beautiful landscapes on this Earth. Each of these fishing bucket hats would protect you from the harsh sun.
Cons: Can get pricey, the sun is very harsh (added head wear and UV protection may be required.)
